Ohio in snapshots

Now that I have returned & the dust has settled... here are my tiny adventures.
I am officially back from Ohio, and I officially won't go
back for YEARS. I hope my family & the friends
I actually have left there, come visit me in Seattle now.
No offense, I'm just all Ohio'ed out.
My first childhood friend Rachel & I, bottom left.
We went to a big-kid's version of chuck-e-cheese's called "Scene 75" and played hard. We survived Glow-in-the-dark Mini Golf, climbed ourselves through the Laser-Frenzy, dislocated a shoulder in the Bouncy House, & danced the rest of the night away with excellent DJ'd jams til we were so thirsty,  the snow on the ground looked appealing. But not before the incredible 12 Foot Mosaic-tiled Michael Jackson caught my eye.
My grandparents have such quirks. Grandma's silly sayings crack her up so hard, she's still laughing 6 minutes later. Grandpa often takes naps with shoes on, sticking out of his blankets & off the edge of the bed. And my mom's hair does it's own thing when it senses she's not using a mirror.

And last. These are where the feelings run deep. These kids sincerely weaved themselves into my brain synapses.
I miss them like crazy.
{Clockwise from top left}
Sweet baby Aurora, just new & curious with her Disney-eyes; she stole me away. Gavin's quiet sneakiness, and sincere obedience to his parent's voice melted my pre-parent core. No one besides this kid, can make his brother Maverick laugh so hilariously.
My darling Payton... who knew a 4 year old could be so witty? She's sharper than I ever hope to be & yet loving all at once. Baby Jaxon's good manner & shocking blue eyes had me captivated the whole time. I miss all my little loves.

shhhhhhhh!

Don't tell that I skipped. Skipped what? Huh?

Who?
LAST SATURDAY I WENT & RAN THRU THE MUD. Oh yes I did!

I totally have been holding out on you. If you haven't been enlightened as to JUST how cute 13 year olds can be...wait... I mean THESE mindless kids... You've been missing out. PLEASE WATCH :)

"..a hundred forty characters is moooore than enough!"
... Oh, hai! You're here. What was I saying?

Wednesday I went on a bike ride!
Here's mah boys...

Today... I went with a Client to pick out their house materials...

Holy moley...4 hours later...
I was officially bored.

And then...
I SNAPPED!

And then they fed me :)
Yay!
THIS IS A PIECE OF TILE.
Isn't it purdy? It looks like metal!

The End.

My SURPRISE event is this weekend, and I'll tell you about it next week- cause if I did now.... welllllllllll that would be a DUMB move. I'm a woman *points to brain*...

Have a great weekend, you silly shenanigans :]
<3, bex...

sigh.

First things first. No really.....
#1.
IT'S OFFICIALLY FRIDAY. Can you feel the excitement?
THANK THE FARMIN'(new euphamisn alert!) GOODNESS INSIDE EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US.
AMIRITE.

Secondly.... you all know how anti-mac/apple I am...don'tcha? Well... push comes to shove when your phone royally STINKS(or has a huge blacked out area on the touch-screen), so when Verizon announced(alright, I'll admit this was way back in July 2010 when it was still unofficial) that they were bringing the iphone to their network... I got excited. I thought "AT LAST! MY CHANCE! I can pay good money for a phone that won't rip me off 3 months from now!"
Oh so the news is that I ordered one. And I'm proud to say that I actually have a 'REP' and ordered mine BEFORE Feb 3rd YA'LL! (Don't be jealous. We're all friends, here. I could hook you up, if you gave me some chocolate ice cream... with hot fudge.)

Don't lie, if you don't already have one, you want one.
credit
THIRDLY... I truthfully did dye my hair. Okay technically, Hoolia- from the Oregon/travel post- dyed it cause she's a professional and all. So here it is... I know you've been DYE-ING to see it(see what I did there?).
Terrible Pun #1, for this post.

Ok, I'm letting myself get silly, cause I like it.
  aaaaaand FINALE. It's FRIDAY HOORAH.

For goodness sakes.. If you've had a fully-loaded-terror-of-a-week like myself, you are as glad as I that it's close to being over. Soak it up. Dance your booty off, and don't let Saturday & Sunday slip by too fast.
i mean it.

Oregon. Orrrr-eh-gawn. Ore-gone?

I once crossed the border into a distant land.
I once saw things I've never seen before... nor may see again.
And I also tried on items of clothing... I will never try on again.

Can you imagine me:
-sleep deprived
-stuffed with food(specifically Gingerbread Pancake Puppies from Denny's)(<--I recommend)
-just drove straight 3.5 hours- starting at 11:30pm from a previously full 8 hour day at work...?

Now imagine my mood(HA! Gotcha. You thought I was talking about that first, huh?)!! Don't worry, lots of coffee was involved.
NOW IMAGINE... ok just kidding... Why, you ask? BLACK FRIDAY SALES, of course! (yes I realize I'm just NOW getting around to telling you about it.)
Here's the car group...
We've got Jules. Fashionista; in search of boots at le Macy's
Also wielding a SERIOUS coupon for Express.
GOOD NEWS! She found boots! TWO pair to be exact! AND at the low price of $60(for both!!!)
Then we have Kid. He's the bodyguard(unpaid, unless you consider my amazing homemade jokes a form of reimbursement), for about 12 hours of work- including, but not limited to:
-holding doors open & following the ladies lead
-holding most bags in addition to the doors, AND last & most important...
-keeping me awake on the drive home(he slept, btw!).

Did I mention he was wonderful company as well??
It's true. Look how good of a sport he was:
A true champ to endure a long-haul-of-estrogen-powered-shopping-extravaganza.
PHEW! I should have acquired this hat.

Anyway. Lastly, & not leastly, we have Abby
Quiet, faithfully obedient to my unspoken "come'ere's!" and ADORABLE.
Kid had a hard time fighting off all the paparazzi!
See proof:
Look at that hammin' cheeser :) Precious.
Umm... Are you jealous? Sit down, hooligan. She's out of your league.
She even supported me, when I was sure I was hearing voices. What a friend!
AND when they cheered me on to model the worst jewelry of 2010...
...She even helped me load it all on. Oh man, Abby's a trooper :)

Oh? Tired of my story-telling, are you?
You just wanna see pictures and get it over with, do you?
HMMPH!
More hats were seen, check this character...
No, that's not your imagination, this hat really has a tail. ^
Besides my normal-scary picture-capades....
...looks like all you lovely dovefaces made it back here with most of your pieces in-tact to read my latest post. So I am glad to wish you all a WARM week(it's dumping giant fluffy snowflakes here within the last hour) and keep putting CLEAN socks into the dryer to warm those toes. Or skip to the end of last Friday's post, for a fresh recommendation from my friend, to get yourself some toe socks(I dont recommend, if you have wide-tootsies.)
*waves*
TOODLES!!! Drive with care this weekend!!!!!

xoxo bex

GOOD MORNING!!

I've walked to the Alaskan tundra and back!
Okay, so it was to Starbucks. Across the street. But this cozy hood served it's purpose.
I am currently creating an AdWords campaign for another company. If you know anyone who needs AdWords help for their small business, I'd love to assist! Throw my name around.

In other news....
It's Tuesday! And Monday was terrible, AMIRIGHT!?
This weekend I ventured out of my usual hermit-cave and tried something new...
Dancing.
In. Front.
Of. People.
Yeah. I went there. And it wasn't sooooo bad(but still scary, I had to throw myself).
Altho, since I was playing my friend Hoolia's 'Kinect' the game called Dance Central, I got pretty frustrated when it wouldn't recognize that I was doing the dance correctly, so it wouldn't give me the points. Oh well. Maybe it's just proving me right that I am TERRIBLE at dancing ;)
That would be just fine by me. But in other- OTHER news...
This also happened at her house:

Don't ask why :) They're just fake leaves.
BECAUSE! Ok? Because.

Anddddddd...this may have happened too... but I'm still not sure.
Don't judge me.
You're jealous cause your lips are non-existent like mine.
:]
Have a happy Tuesday, people. Try not to let the week get to you...
...Cause it's pretty rough out there.
Love peace & tiny salsa-red lips! (Salsa Red by Mary Kay)

<3 xoxo Bex.

GUESS WHAT!

Did any of you notice that new little box on the right?

Scroll down a little, there you go :)

It says Cold Hands, Warm Hearts! I entered to participate in a Blogger-Mitten-Swap to keep our fluttery typing fingers warm this season, and to network with someone across the world(if you were so fortunate!). My blogger-partner's name is Amanda!! :) And her and I will be sending each other a sweet winter care package soon. I'M SO EXCITED!!!

And her blog is a DIY DREAM!!! I was swooning over her projects and the colors she uses. Go see her!!!

ANYWHO Everyone! I'm going to a formal dinner on Sunday, and to exchange some thrift clothes tomorrow!!

As my good friend Praxis would say: "Wewt."

Have a good weekend lovelies!! Sorry to be so brief!!

So I went to Seattle this last weekend, with a few friends, one whom we picked up from the airport, that flew in from the other side of the state. We went to Urban Outfitters(you know this one goes crazy for some U.O.!) and I found this picture downstairs in their housewares section. ZOMG! Can someone buy this for me and just send it along?! I would love ya. I mean I do already, but C'MONNNN!
But this is Praxis' favorite poster from Urban Outfitters. Dare I tell you why? Nah...
Maybe if you hit me up, I'll secretly whisper it into your email inbox :)

And this my fair lovelies, is our scenic view of Seattle from the ferry ride home.
I <3 Seattle. I <3 the moon.
The City skyline is actually a bit blurry, but the moon and the clouds surrounding, were pretty incredible.

OH AND MY LUNCH FROM YESTERDAY. Dang, I'm a smart cookie some days. *Be jealous!*

Here is me now:
I'll TWEET update you on the NEWEST, as soon as my hair is done!!! YAY FOR HAIR!

negative numbers in the opthamology field.

The week before last, I was taught about negative numbers regarding my contact prescription. And not by a doctor. And although I can't really remember(or find the text) that explains what they mean, I thought it was awfully nice to be told that my vision's not so bad after all. And that. is. what. I got. out. of. THAT.

Even though my doctor says that my eyes are shaped like footballs instead of
basketballs(like they should be).

grrrrrrr

That is all. :) Happy Tuesday, people! We're that much closer to zomgitsfriday!!!!! <3 you all!!

Friday, August 13, 2010

Oh, The Splendor!! ZOMGITSFRIDAY!

Can you believe the year is MORE than half OVER? Yeah it's officially August.
Here are some Fashion Tips for August... warning: I don't have much advice, nor do I get paid for this...

#1. Remember the "No White Pants after Labor Day," rule? Yeah me neither. Fortunately it's still hot enough in late-September here in Seattle, to still wear hot-pants/shorts/skirts/you name it-that are white. I do it!
#2. DO. NOT. WEAR. WHITE. LEGGINGS. ALONE. (Back to the white thing eh, Red?) I saw this in the city the other day and granted, the girl had nice legs, but somehow it STILL wasn't flattering. Even the GUY walking next to me agreed.... So you know I'm not just being judgmental(ME?? Pffffff).

That's all! Yup, go wild! You know who gives GREAT fashion advice tho?? Bill Cosby. Yup. Check. These. Out: (I really do <3 Bill Cosby btw, I'm not making fun of him.)

YOU try rockin' that sweater.

Or this hat.

Now THATS a sweater I could get into. Honestly.

This made me smile, I don't know why. Photo: Doug Wilson/Corbis

Now THIS is what I call a Windows(tm) advertisement. Oh the glory.

 heeeheeeeeee....

HAVE A GOOD FRIDAY EVERYONE!
MUCH LOVES! <3
