Catchin' Up! Part I.

My life has begun, guys(sarcasm!).

I do feel that I have opened a new chapter though. Lots of new experiences, lots of new feelings, more mature thoughts & decisions... don't tell my mom but... I kinda like it ;]

I have SO much to show & tell... and I know this is sort of a blogger's no-no, to give away so much at one time. But you guys totally deserve it, you've been patient(either that or you just forgot about little ol' me! =O) STILL I'll have to split this post into 2, maybe 3 different parts... there's just so much.

I'm about to expose your eyes to many spectacular images, you won't need to do anymore web browsing today. Deal?

 Enjoy, darling doves.
Firstly. I got a haircut. Yes, I even went so far as to get my hair slightly COLORED. *gasp*
Here are the stages. Anyone heard of Successful Seattle Salon-Owner Lisa Vann of Milagros? Or Bruno Elorrioroz?? You should! He's the top colorist in the WORLD as of this moment. Aveda's Master Technical Director.Yup, ya heard. He was standing in my breathing space. He delicately picked up my hair and said in his beautiful French accent *soft, but intentional gasp* "She has such beautiful natural COLOUR!" And then he formulated this happy "After" face! In order of occurrence:

Here's the fill-in story: (Can I get a "Hallelujah-you're-still-a-redhead!?") School has restarted(I had a 2 week break; too long), and I'm back to the commute-school-commute-shower-sleep-commute cycle.

I'll start as far back as I can remember... since we last talked....
The construction company I work for, has moved! That was... tiring. But hey! My temporary business cards for school, came in! THAT. IS. EXCITING.
Now I have to figure out how to get rid of 250 business cards in the next 2 months...

Kid :)
This last month has truly brought me some very strong, beautiful memories that I will cherish for as long as I live. For one thing, I got one of my best friends back. His struggle to be the best of himself has been a treacherous, threatening, & faith-strengthening experience... for both him & myself. So I want him to know how much he means to me & all our friends here, & that him being out-of-state, won't keep him from being in our thoughts & prayers of support everyday. I've never been prouder of you, Besty. You now have the entire world at your disposal. Make it worth your while :)

In addition to that, I helped my Photographer Friend move into a new house one weekend. We are monsters that rolled a PIANO out of a moving truck to her local Goodwill. Then we rescued a wandering puppy for the night & returned him to his rightful owners the next morning. Isn't he just melt-worthy?

Moving on for all you cat-people, no need to retreat to a different site :P

I was given a surprise gift. THE best surprise gift(I'm not a huge fan of surprises, shhh), need I repeat THE BEST surprise gift ever. Dudeson, these just showed up at my house! I can't rave enough. They're absolutely perfect. And they're ME. *gah!* Thank YOU! YOU!

A group of my friends were going up to Crystal Mountain for snowboarding, & altho I didn't have room in my budget for the whole affair(student still! :)), I at least went up to babysit(ha! jk guys), and perhaps ride the Gondola after the winds subsided. Wow it was a beautiful sight at the top. Here's a peek at my way up:

I've just decided that it's time to go to bed. Yes, it's 10:25pm and I have school en la manana IF ALL GOES AS PLANNED. I have TONS of Seattle adventures to share with you, but I'll save them for the next UPDATE. I promise you, the next update will happen sometime next week. Hopefully before the next 7 days have flashed before my mind's eye.

You guys have been great, really. You're my favorite crowd ;) Haha I'll exit on that note.

<3, bex

P.S. If you're experiencing any kind of snow/ice/sleet days, like I am.... DRIVE SLOW. Or better yet- bundle up and WALK somewhere :) It's fun, trust me. Safety first!!!

Friday: you sweet, sweet melody I sing for all week.

Hallelujah. Literally :)
Friday has come, and Friday will go, but now here you are, so listen up YO!

"Firepits are where the BEST memories are made." -C.

True, yeah? Yup. Glad we agree. Last Sunday my dad mowed the lawn. And the sun was peeking around the corner, so I hauled the troops in for a small-within-city-limits-approved-bonfire. Here's the whole scoop. I can't START a fire, but once it's alive, I totally rock at keeping it burning. Also, Jessica said I could "make it in North Dakota" because I can chop a log into kindling. THAT'S WHATS UP.

Step 1. Jessica(green) gets the fire going.
Then Shelby(pink) gives him a mustache.
Personally, I think it's proportionate to his giant stature.
Step 2. Shelby claims the fire-pit as her own.
Much like how you claim your own food in the work-place refrigerator.

Step 3. Chop more wood to keep the fire burning.
And as I was the 'photog' for the evening, no one got a shot of ME ch-ch-choppin' it up. But here is an excellent action shot of Jessica with a nice swing.

I did however,  gather a rather dashing picture of my sweet pink Keds,
after I tore up a couple logs.
...wait that sounds bad....
I think they deserve a little spotlight.
Then Patrick hit a homerun, with a pinecone. His talent is beyond me.

See his lanyard? It's purple. Kiss that, Justin Beiber!
Oh that reminds me, I heard randomly that little J.B. got beat up by a 'fan'?
Anyone hear anything about this? Yeah me neither.... well..barely.

Back to my story - I'm easily distracted- Shelby had a rough time with her first marshmallow...

What you see here folks, is mellow, marshed all over her hand. I can't even fathom how you get that marshmallow goo all over the TOP of your fingers. The right pic is the marshmallow goo ON HER EYELASH. She had a rough evening, lets just say. At least no one lost an eyeball.

We managed to live thru it all.

Have a safe weekend! Live up those fire-pit moments, and holler
if you need me to chop any wood for ya.
I was killin' it.

<3 much, bex

I adopted...

(OMG What is WITH me forgetting to post?!) ...
There was this one day that I ran across a pair of monkey's I couldn't turn down.
After all, they were on sale.

See? You would have done the same in my situation.

Don't judge me. You want a pair.
I scoot around the house in them, and I remain STATIC FREE thanks to their rubber soles.
That's right. BE jealous.

xoxo, bex..

Oregon. Orrrr-eh-gawn. Ore-gone?

I once crossed the border into a distant land.
I once saw things I've never seen before... nor may see again.
And I also tried on items of clothing... I will never try on again.

Can you imagine me:
-sleep deprived
-stuffed with food(specifically Gingerbread Pancake Puppies from Denny's)(<--I recommend)
-just drove straight 3.5 hours- starting at 11:30pm from a previously full 8 hour day at work...?

Now imagine my mood(HA! Gotcha. You thought I was talking about that first, huh?)!! Don't worry, lots of coffee was involved.
NOW IMAGINE... ok just kidding... Why, you ask? BLACK FRIDAY SALES, of course! (yes I realize I'm just NOW getting around to telling you about it.)
Here's the car group...
We've got Jules. Fashionista; in search of boots at le Macy's
Also wielding a SERIOUS coupon for Express.
GOOD NEWS! She found boots! TWO pair to be exact! AND at the low price of $60(for both!!!)
Then we have Kid. He's the bodyguard(unpaid, unless you consider my amazing homemade jokes a form of reimbursement), for about 12 hours of work- including, but not limited to:
-holding doors open & following the ladies lead
-holding most bags in addition to the doors, AND last & most important...
-keeping me awake on the drive home(he slept, btw!).

Did I mention he was wonderful company as well??
It's true. Look how good of a sport he was:
A true champ to endure a long-haul-of-estrogen-powered-shopping-extravaganza.
PHEW! I should have acquired this hat.

Anyway. Lastly, & not leastly, we have Abby
Quiet, faithfully obedient to my unspoken "come'ere's!" and ADORABLE.
Kid had a hard time fighting off all the paparazzi!
See proof:
Look at that hammin' cheeser :) Precious.
Umm... Are you jealous? Sit down, hooligan. She's out of your league.
She even supported me, when I was sure I was hearing voices. What a friend!
AND when they cheered me on to model the worst jewelry of 2010...
...She even helped me load it all on. Oh man, Abby's a trooper :)

Oh? Tired of my story-telling, are you?
You just wanna see pictures and get it over with, do you?
HMMPH!
More hats were seen, check this character...
No, that's not your imagination, this hat really has a tail. ^
Besides my normal-scary picture-capades....
...looks like all you lovely dovefaces made it back here with most of your pieces in-tact to read my latest post. So I am glad to wish you all a WARM week(it's dumping giant fluffy snowflakes here within the last hour) and keep putting CLEAN socks into the dryer to warm those toes. Or skip to the end of last Friday's post, for a fresh recommendation from my friend, to get yourself some toe socks(I dont recommend, if you have wide-tootsies.)
*waves*
TOODLES!!! Drive with care this weekend!!!!!

xoxo bex

ZOMGitsfriday!! Doveface! Come and GET IT.

umm...ANNOUNCEMENT: I hate sports, BUT I love soccer. So here. Soccer Players galore!!
I'm not partial to any ONE team. Guess why? HA. I love the last one. You all played great this year, boys!!
Don't act like you're not entertained...

Funny Art. Have you seen this website? Awkward Family Pet Photos. Dude. Seriously wait til you get to page 5- and DO treat yourself to page 5. For the record, this one takes the cake. Look at crazy-eyes there! And I don't mean the dog.
Art(being as versatile as it is) can be beautiful, meaningless, completely confusing, and awfully... well awful. So enjoy.
When was the last time you saw one of these dinosaurs?
When was the last time you sewed something completely AMAZING like this dress?
-"But, she is so cute," you say!? "She can get away with wearing anything??" Not so. See here. No one should wear those shoes. Even if they DO match. Which they don't.
Oh you think the over-sized dress/shirt/official-frump-wear was the worst part of that picture? You're right.

I just got off the phone with my grandma. As many of you(may or may not) know, I am running(read: jogging) in a simple 5K run tomorrow. It's called a "Fun Run!" I guess to make it seem less painful...?
Well, Tuesday I was jogging my little heart out on the track, and when all was over(plus minor victory dance, for completing 3 miles non-stop for the first time EVARRR,) I felt a twinge of uncomfy-ness in my right quad(muscle above the knee) and figured it was just really tight, so I stretched, and I stretched, and stretched a little more. It turns out, I couldn't really walk like a normal human being the next morning. I had officially strained it. And my grandma noticed. She keeps telling me that she may not "let" me run... ;) heehee ... if I'm not completely healed by Saturday. Well, today is ZOMGITSFRIDAY, and by golly I've been resting since Wednesday night. And by George!! It feels better! Not completely 100% turned around, but it's feeling pretty secure.
Meaning, I can walk upright now. So I should be golden by tomorrow morning, yes?? =/

I better be. I have a lot of fans that will be there. Ahahahahahaha....

ZOMG ITS FRIDAY

Hey All!
I've had a burst of things that I've wanted to post this week, but if I let them all out of their metaphorical cages at once, I'd be all out of ish by next week!! Then there would be a bad dry spell, and you guys would have nothing but run-on sentences to try and pick through, and THEN you'd be mad at me and never come back to my site ever, (n)ever, ever again....and that would make me sad (emphatic period.).

THIS BLOG(not mine, I'm about to tell you, silly!)... makes me happy. I really personally feel that you would do well, to invest a few minutes of your (ZOMG ITS FRIDAY FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, JUST READ IT!)day into reading this post. I LOVE the lists they come up with. Often, they have the power to insert a sunshine-filled, gut-bustin' few minutes into my grayest hour. To which, I couldn't be more thankful. This one is cute. I like #2 the most. Mostly because I love love LOVE kids, but there are some who you just want to... say nice things to?

 =/ ok so maybe-not-so-nice-things.

I've recently subjected myself to twitter. SO FOLLOW ME, KITTENS! Ewww... I don't like to be self-promoting, unless I'm buying shoes(and I WILL ask 3 people within a 3-foot perimeter if the heel compliments or accentuates my cankles, when alone); in THAT case, no one pleading: "Ehh, they're a little gaudy," can deter me from making possibly a bad decision.
HEY. If I make a bad shoe-buying decision, I'll take them back by my own free-willing, ALRIGHT? :)
...Glad we're clear. That being said, you should follow me, so you can share in my shoe-shopping experiences from now on, and when I upload a twit-pic(whatever that means) with a shoe-approval request... well then, I'll have someone to talk to other than strangers. And what a happy camper I would be!! :)

You hear that? You hold the power in your own little fingertips, to make me squeal. This is how I imagine you all, sitting there in front of your laptop, reading my nonsense(Heaven forbid you own a Mac!!! *cringe*)...
HA! Aren't they sweet?! I only like pictures of cats, they don't really do anything for me in real life. No offense to you cat owners, I just personally don't get along with the little fur-heads. So anyway, this is you. :)

Not that pictures-of-you are better than you-in-person... I just...imagine you...being attentive like this. Get off my back, I'm allowed to be politically incorrect! heeeheeeee You see that "CC" at the bottom?? Yeah, thats what I thought.

This website is funny. Not "Ha-Ha that's a really funny racist joke, cause it doesn't diss the culture, or imply that all of them are slobs, or bad drivers, or wear their lederhosen to all occasions." AHEM, ok maybe just to Oktoberfest, but same diff if you are an alcoholic, right? Then ALL year is Oktoberfest! haha... But its just cute for the sake of hearing old songs you don't hear anywhere else except in drugstores.... Well... if you don't find that somewhat entertaining, then don't clicky-click :) That's your choice, Kitten.

Ok this was a long post. I must be into bed now. Hope you all have a FANTASTIC weekend, I will not be posting(ok maybe tweeting *chirp chirp*) all weekend... so stay amazing!! And come back!! :)

xoxo-Red*
