Wednesday I went on a bike ride!

Today... I went with a Client to pick out their house materials...

Holy moley...4 hours later...

I was officially bored.

I SNAPPED!

And then they fed me :)

That is how I feel, most days.

I want everything, while I want nothing but honesty.


I betrayed you. I was keeping my options open,
when I told you it was wrong...
and now I, twice burned myself
and reach back for a third- 
and the flame is gone.
Why?
I am the one who turned it off.
Why am I sad?


So I write.
And I will keep doing this until
I have figured it out. Which,
won't happen... I've already smoldered the struggling spark.

Tuesday + Friday = Thursday. HA!

Oh wow, sorry everyone. APPARENTLY my brain is behind on what day it is. And I totally blanked that Tuesday even happened. But I am not going to let you down(totally). I've got quite a few pictures to share with you. And yes, this will be fun. I'm gonna tell you about my week :) And this doubles as Friday's post too(don't whine- no one likes a whiner) just FYI. NO, that is NOT called cheating. Ok, so maybe it is. Onward! :)

First things first, and that means food.

Last Saturday I made muffins. And I made quite a few. And I made them from a box (no laughing, Hoolia!). I definitely don't find plain muffin mix exciting, so I added my own extras as usual. These WERE destined to be just (blah)Oat Bran muffins. UNTIL I added molasses and cinnamon and chocolate chips.
Oh, yes I did.

NEXT UP!

Basic blueberry(oops, no fun inside extras), with a toasty marshmallow on top. 

I kinda folded the fruit in the mixture a little too delicately...so you can't really see the blueberry color....at all. Anywho, they were scrumptious. I'm so sad you missed out ;}

Then hell froze over. And I wore my hair curly. Really, tho. It's not too curly, it's more of a pathetic wave. You know when Napoleon Dynamite waves at his date at the prom, and she ignores him? That's the kind of pity-feeling I give myself, when I try to scrunch my hair with curling mousse, and it just falls like this. Not too terrible, I guess... if you like that whole "rejected" feeling. :P

And lastly...

I drove down to a little inlet area in my community to watch the sunset, because the day was clear and my brain was not. So I wanted to share that moment with my blog-babies. That's you. Sorry, you're probably not a baby. I'm just slightly callous-slash-crabby about the 2 sorta-sunny days we had, now that it's POURING rain again.

*le sigh*

Meet Maverick.

My puppy. Okay so he's not a young pup anymore.

Going on 8 years! WOW. I gave the poor mutt a bath over the weekend and MAN-oh-man. He hated me severely for a good hour.

But all is well in his world now, and he smells good again ;)

My apologies to my friends who have been over and had to endure his stink; you can come back now!!

 He wouldn't even look at me. So stripped of his dignity and so full of hatred.

Precious.

I may or may not have let him on the couch. Do you blame me? I didn't want him to be upset with me any longer :) And good news! We're friends again.

I must go back to cleaning hair off the walls and ceiling, of the bathroom, now...

Oh, The Splendor!! ZOMGITSFRIDAY!

Can you believe the year is MORE than half OVER? Yeah it's officially August.
Here are some Fashion Tips for August... warning: I don't have much advice, nor do I get paid for this...

#1. Remember the "No White Pants after Labor Day," rule? Yeah me neither. Fortunately it's still hot enough in late-September here in Seattle, to still wear hot-pants/shorts/skirts/you name it-that are white. I do it!
#2. DO. NOT. WEAR. WHITE. LEGGINGS. ALONE. (Back to the white thing eh, Red?) I saw this in the city the other day and granted, the girl had nice legs, but somehow it STILL wasn't flattering. Even the GUY walking next to me agreed.... So you know I'm not just being judgmental(ME?? Pffffff).

That's all! Yup, go wild! You know who gives GREAT fashion advice tho?? Bill Cosby. Yup. Check. These. Out: (I really do <3 Bill Cosby btw, I'm not making fun of him.)

I went to an Alice Tea Party in honor of the movie, which we saw

beforehand! WHICH was cuuuuute!! But before that spent the entire, and I mean ENTIRE morning and afternoon baking cupcakes.

We had sooooo many. By the end of the night, there were STILL cupcakes leftover- and we sent 3 or 4 home with each person!!!

Yikes, I know. But it was fun and everyone who showed up early got to decorate :) Who doesn't love to frost a cupcake?!

OH and I made that icing... YEAH- MADE IT. BOOYAH.

It was pretty amazing.

So the pictures are to taunt you with. And then last night my friend M and I braided each others hair- we were practicing some styles we saw on

a cute hair website... seeee for yourself :)

I did this first braid(M's dark hair)...

This is me!

M started from the left of my face-where my hairline parts, and braided down around the hairline- to the base of my neck, and back up from behind my right ear. Then she just braided the rest, and I pinned the hanging braid into a circle as the top picture shows! YAY for cute! This bottom picture is the left side of my head- it got a little loose because we were watching Ironman during it all, and got a little messy- hahaha!

But all in all, I <3 it!
